My first woodwork / joinery project!
I'm learning with Richard Vaughan, and have never been so challenged and so pleased by any endeavour.
I made this little box to hold my spoon carving tools (and extra space, of course, for future purchases).
The carcass is Qld maple, as are the handle strips, whereas the fronts are Tassie oak. I handcut the joints, so you can tell what kind of day I was having by the look of each one.
I still have some polishing to do using a blonde button shellac, but she's come up all right. Thanks to Xanthorrhoeas for all the advice there!
