Change out Rosewood bridge piece for Ebony?

Hi all. I bought a hollow body gretsch which is awesome. One small thing though. The bridge sits on a Rosewood standoff that doesn't look right with the rest of the guitar. I'm thinking about remaking one in Ebony, as the fretboard is Ebony. Any thoughts, more trouble than it's worth?
