This may be a bit too specific, but it's worth a shot!
I need to drill some post holes for 6" treated pine posts in a clay paddock. No concrete, just drill and drop. Logic would suggest a 6" auger, right?
Then comes the fear of getting home with a trailer full of posts and a brand new auger, and finding out the hard way that 6" treated pine posts don't actually fit into 6" auger holes.
Can anyone reassure me that I'm not missing some common wisdom about matching post and hole sizes?!
