Had a great day yesterday!!
Joined the Hervey Bay Wood Crafters and turned up for the Wed. meeting.
A couple of the blokes mounted a reasonable sized Silky Oak in a cradle so it could be planked.
Great stuphph! I managed the tip end of the mill while one of the fellows, who is and ex chainsaw dealer, worked the business end.
The idea was to take enough off so the planks and the remainder of the log could be easily carted inside. Job done, sore back BUT.. oh the ecstasy of the snarl and the smell of sawdust.
Must do that more often!!!:D
