Have I ever told you all how much I love wood? I love to mill wood. I love to work with wood. I love to smell wood. Except for the splinters I would bath in wood!
Well it just keeps finding me. The pile of logs is getting out of hand. And Ive got a 900mm diam. Liquid amber coming next week. This pile is the lot that have built up over 2 years and that's not even half of my stash. The 4 on top are local sheaoak A bit ratty but I'll get a bit of nice stuff out of them (with a potential for one to come of 1m dia).

For a number of reasons they just don't seem to get done fast enough and what I was wondering is whether there's some woodies who would like a holiday down south give me and my lucas a hand? :rolleyes: I work so much better with someone along side me. Funny that.
I managed to get one of mine milled the other day (a Local wattle). Which is quite nice really. Not as pink as previously experienced. When my uncle brought some red gum to mill. (uncle rates)

Then I also milled some red gum for uncle into make believe sleepers 200 x 60. I got a few pieces; as you do.:D

More red gum tomorrow and hopefully one of mine.
