Decals

I've been playing around with decals but have got inconsistent results. My method is to print out on an inkjet printer, spray some acrylic gloss a couple of times on the decal. Attach to blank, seal with either thin CA or acrylic gloss. I find that sometimes the print rubs off on the decal and that it is difficult to lay the decal onto the blank nice and smooth, I've tried a small brush and a sponge, no matter what I do, there are tiny air bubbles.
