Got some shed time today, so that means on the lathe. Was boring an ID with auto feed. DOC was less than 0.5mm and very slow feed rate. Not doing any thing different from usual and suddenly I hear a pop and something falls in the tray the carriage kept going as normal
I don't know where these parts are from, I'm thinking the carriage/apron? Had a basic look without pulling anything apart.
Its not the compound slide or cross slide lead screw.
repeated to see if something not working but everything seems to work as normal??
