Started planning out the pop-up system a few weeks ago and was blown away by how much the decent units cost :o I was looking at the nice big gear drive units with adjustable sweep & throw ranges but they were all up at around $30-$40 per head... some even twice that and they were all plastic units, not even stainless. Eek. Had a think about it and decided the adjustable heads were definitely the way to go versus dropping back to the run-of-the-mill spray types with their interchangeable pattern heads. Of course they are still perfectly fine but I like the flexibility, precision & future-proofing of the gear drive units so away I went researching a better way to get them.
Well, a quick search of eBay uncovered these beasts: Case 20 K Rain RPS75I Sprinkler Rotors Hunter PGP Irrigation Rotary Head Nozzle | eBay 20 x brand new 'Light Commercial' grade heads in a sealed box for only $240 shipped... that's a cool $12 each... shipped!!
