Hi All,
I brought this adjustable chuck along with the Zeatz Dividing head and the Meca rotary table a little while ago. I checked the chucks run out at the time and it had .004". I could not move any of the adjusting screws they were done up super tight,so I put it aside. I have just pulled it apart, had to use a big hammer drill to undo the three adjusting screws. It is a well built chuck but has seen some abuse as you can. After a good clean and oil I studied it to work out how the adjusting mechanism worked and put it back together. I set it up on my mill table and chucked up a ground 12mm piece of bar and had it holding .01mm run out in a couple of minutes. The chuck has no brand on it anywhere, can anyone recognise it from the pictures and the adjusting mechanism.
