sleepers twisted

Hi, building a retaining wall I saw on better homes and gardens. Made out of 125 x75 sleepers. Most of the structure has been up for a few months and I've just noticed the capping ones I've done are all twisted and look like crap. I'm a bit if a hack, have I done something wrong? Can I fix it?
