Okay they're not - there will be a big difference between crappy ones and Bessey/Carver, with prices to match.
I'm looking for recommendations please on good (affordable) makes of F-clamps - most of the threads I have read are a few years old, and to be honest, while i've been doing my reading and know a wee bit about tools and makes, clamps I know well, not very much about!
I plan on using them for a range of DIY / furniture repair stuff - I tinker with pretty much anything from tech like mobile phones and PCs to furniture repair, assembly etc. I should really have grabbed the cheapo Aldi ones when they were out, but missed them somehow.
I stumbled across a German brad called KWB - are they any good? They appear to be German made, albeit similar in appearance to cheap ones available here (with ridges along the bar though - stronger?). The issue though is that shipping will hurt regarding making the total cost costs and may make them uneconomic. So taking that total cost into consideration, so are there better ones here for a similar price? Oh, and I'm in Sydney BTW - I don't mind driving to pick stuff up. :)
