Hopefully someone can put this into service. I spent a goodhour or so trying to work out what this was eventually giving up only to returnto the box to find the original instructions. It is a sewing machine liftingdevice which is designed to allow a sewing machine to be built into a cabinet.It has a gas cylinder that lifts up the machine when you press a lever whichraises the machine to sit up on top of the desktop. When you’re finished withit you push the machine back down inside the cabinet to leave the desk orcabinet top uncluttered. It’s been sitting in the original box for years but surelysomeone can make a great project out of it.
