A have a commission from a client to build a large reception desk in Blackbutt timber He has specified it to be finished in Murobond Woodwash Limed. However, I just spoke to the Murobond rep who confirmed it was incompatible with blackbutt as it will cause visible staining as it has a high tannin content and recommended an oil based finish instead.
Does anybody have any recommendations on how to achieve an equivalent look with oil based finishes?
