Bought some Aldi Plug Cutters for wood yesterday.
Two sets, straight and chamfer.
Absolute rubbish, with cutter sharpening angles all over the place and a few unusable.
Appears to be just carbon steel.
But ... I will keep them, as they may make good bases for other type special cutters with carbide and HSS for the drill press, for those one time jobs.
Also bought a set of smallish "glass" drills with carbide cutters, not for my drilling glass, but for use in the drill press with slight chamfering of small holes in metal.
These were at least useable.
