A Puppy? or a SCAM?

SWMBO wants a dog. I posted an ad on a classified advertisement site. (Craig's List)

Some of the scams were absurd to say the least. There was one, from Dallas, that wanted to give me the dog but I had to pay shipping. (Yeah, right)

After a few E-Mail exchanges this is finally what I told them.

As you drive into Love Field, there is a road to the right between the Avis and Hertz rental car return facilities.

Continue down that road a few hundred meters, to a nondescript beige building. There are three large truck access doors and an office door on the right. The sign on the building says Swine Avionics Transportation.

Bring Niki (the dog) and tell them that you're shipping to account #####. (actually the neighbor's phone number backward and a digit dropped) They will provide a carrier, shots from a veterinarian, food and water for the flight. Upon arrival at Los Angeles International, Swine Avionics Transportation will call me to pay for shipping and pick up Niki.

Looking forward to rescuing Niki.

Of course I never heard from them again. I did sense a lot of hostility because the scam-e was trying to perpetrate a scam on the scam-r.

One would think that pigs flying would be the tip off.
