This plane is about as near to brand new as you can imagine for a tool of its age. I believe it to have been made circa 1954, in the UK. It is complete in its original box, with usage leaflet, original waxed paper wrapping, and a Stanley tag. It has had minimal use; enough only to put a few very fine scratches on the sole, and there are a couple of spots where the varnish has chipped at the top of the tote. The japanning is quite faultless. It really is a superb example of its type, and I am sure it would suit any serious collector.
