I got a fork of a tree some time back and just started slicing it up as part of my cleanup. The trunk had numerous little burls on the outside so I was hopeful of some interesting burl or birdseye grain but unfortunately it wasn't reflected in the timber. It is a relatively light timber with hardness similar to Mango, and indeed has a similar sweet smell whilst cutting not unlike Mango. The centre has a pale browny/white colour and the remainder a yellow (not sapwood). The bark was still attached but came off relatively easily show in the last photo.

I'm thinking Aus Yellow Cedar (Rhodosphaera rhodanthema). Any ideas?
