hi guys .... I have been working on this project for a wile now .. I have a old pipe stand from Pitcairn island it was made by a Ivan Christian a direct descendant from fletcher well they did these in wood work in 1934 for a school project .. I have found on from ben and one from wendel all boys the same age and same time bens sold on ebay a few years ago ..... well they used miro wood for there one and this one is mahogany and the pipes are teak and 1 is brazilin rosewood ......... well a old timer at a cabinet maker has said look in the direction of the pipes being made from the timber pins from a ship he belived they were timber pegs .. so that why I am here in this forum ... they are crude and made from very primitive tools to make a pipe and the family on the island still are there .. they say they have seen a few items over time made or miro but never these timber so could these be timber pins from the ship I have cleaned them and bees waxed them as they were very rough when I got them .......... I should have left them be soryy but I had no idea they could be real wood from the bounty
