Little Machines

jeudi 22 janvier 2015

In a recent thread I was asked about a watchmakers mill I have and rather than hijack that thread I figured I'd start another one.

Over the last few years I have been on the look out for small machinery which I can run with one of my small steam engines and figured jewellers tools would be the logical choice.

The first is what I call a clock or watch makers mill.

The base is around 300mm square, it stands around 400mm high and the cutter that came with it is about the size of a 50c piece.

There is no makers name as such but most of the components are numbered.

I bought this on ebay from Sydney a few years ago and was helped by a forum member who collected it and shipped it down to me.

The second one is a little drill press which stands about 300mm tall, again no makers mark.

I have actually cleaned this one up but don't have an after photo handy.

Cheers,

Greg.
