OMG, I haven't had to get up on my flat tin roof in years. Out of sight, out of mind blah blah blah.
Possums have been getting into my roof via a ceiling vent over the kitchen exhaust fan, this necessitated me to investigate, and, bl**dy hell, the entire roof is rusty.
Not only is it rusty, it sports a roof top garden including branches as thick as your arm, moss, grass, leaves and rwigs.
My intention is this. Hit the roof with a "council" yard broom followed up with a power wash, then slap on a nice silver coloured zinc rich paint when the hot weather arrives.
A new roof is way above my head. That's a joke Joyce.
Q. Is there a paint that will go over surface rust and maybe convert it into something inert?
I hate heights and have been reluctant to break out the extension ladder.
Looking for some ideas.
