After many complaints from family about box making timber lying around inside and outside the house, I am finally making a 2100H x1800W x 300D cupboard to carry these timbers out of 70x35 structural pine, with 4 Melamine shelves 300D each supported on a structural pine frame. This thing will take tons:)
The design of the shelvings is such that each shelf area is virtually an airtight compartment when the doors are closed. Timber to be stored is a couple of wet boards cut a month ago which have the ends sealed, some 12 month old timber with ends sealed, but most of the timber in it will be older, dry boards 1.0 - 1.5m long.
The wet timbers can be stored on top of the cupboard if necessary
The question is, should I be allowing air flow of some sort in this cupboard? If so, can you please suggest some way of doing this?
