I've tossed a couple of odd bits of Queensland Maple together to form the basis of an occasional/coffee table:
Legs - 2 bits of 75x75 with one side planed, both just under 700 long. Cut them in half and you'll get just under 400 high with the top on.
Framing - one piece of 125 x 32 at 1200, another at 800. Rip them in half and it'll be ample for the job at hand.
Top- 1200 x 400 x 46, with the faces planed. One live edge, and enough figure that it won't be boring. The black marks on the back side are just gunk off the thicknesser table because we've been running Pencil Cedar. There is a small patch of insect damage on the back side - its visible in the photos. Timber has been through a borate dip so theres no bugs in residence now. I'd fill it with epoxy or putty but you might want to rip an inch off to avoid it - your call.
All it needs is time to season and some sweat and screws.
Scales had a flat battery so I don't yet have a full weight. 75x75 and 125x32 weighed just under 10kg... I'd estimate total weight at around 30KG. I will confirm that tomorrow and edit accordingly.
For freight inside Queensland we recommend Followmont Transport, for the rest of Australia we recommend Greyhound Freight Services or TNT. Freight is ex 4854, but we can deliver into Townsville on one of our regular delivery runs to connect with other transport services should you require.
