between unit entry doors in a 3 storey unit complex walk way we have a garden area that has been dying off for the last couple of years since we put a roof section over the centre of the building cutting off the sunlight from the area. it used to have good plants with flowers and everything was growing great when it used to get sunlight but we had to put a cover over the centre part of the roof opening as when it rained it got too wet and slippery and everyone was complaining.
the area is in Cairns, tropical area, now we need some new plants that will be good for this shaded area that doesn't get sun light on it.
what would you recommend?? need a few with flowers at least, something that wont grow too big and overtake the area and low maintenance.
this is the area in question on a bright sunny day.
