I was lucky enough to be given a box full of goodies and one of the highlights was a stanley bedrock 605.
I was wondering what people think about them? Are the over rated for a jack plane ? I'm guessing my bailey no 5 will do just a good a job?
If i decide to keep it, what level of restoration does everything think i should do? Paint strip back to bear metal and repaint or just a clean up so it still looks well used look after?
I will be keen to hear your thoughts?
