Hey guys, wanting some advice is someone can help. Just picked up a second hand Mitre saw, everything works great on it but he said when i inspected it the lever on the right hand side of the angle setter doesnt work. So the lock is suppose to stop the staunchions from sliding back becoming a sliding compound saw, its mean to stop it so its just a drop saw.
Now looking into this pretty deep i have taken the saw apart (well the base anyway) to find that the lever is intact and appears to be functioning correctly ie its not broken or twisted in some form. The only thing i can come up with is that its missing something for the lever to engage correctly.

That link is the exploded parts diagram and i am referring to parts 215,214,210 and 235. on page B
235 is a little wheel with tracks on it tracking along part 210. Now it makes sense if that were to rotate something into position to rub agains tthe staunchion then lock it in place but theres nothing that moves aside from the wheel. it seems that something is missing
This video shows the motion i am talking about

So the video shows part 207 flipped upside down. its suppose to move something but i dont know what, has anyone had the lever not engaging the staunchions before and got it fixed? It seems trivial im just wondering what part is missing or broken so i can order it.
Cheers,
Nathan
