Hi folks,
I have a generic 6x9 belt/disc sander combo, which looks very similar to this one:
L107 | L-69A Belt & Disc Linisher Sander | For Sale Sydney Brisbane Melbourne Perth | Buy Workshop Equipment & Machinery online at machineryhouse.com.au
I can't figure out a good way of getting dust extraction for the disc. So far I'm just running with a long piece of 4" flexi jammed in under the table, which is better than no extraction at all, but not by a lot.
A quick search of the forum bought up what looked like a decent solution from BobL in this thread:
http://ift.tt/1ZJF4eF
but it won't work for this sander without substantial modification - the cover for the drive belt sits underneath the disc (the black cover in the H&F picture), which prevents running a piece of PVC around the bottom half of the disc like BobL's setup in this thread:
These sanders seem pretty common, so I'm hoping someone smarter than I has come up with a good solution - any ideas, folks? My best idea at this point is to cut away a big chunk of the disc cover and bring 6" PVC in at about the 7-8 o'clock position on the disc... Which would probably be easiest if I do a workshop reorganisation, so I'm hoping there's a better way!
Thanks,
Danny
