Hi everyone, my name is Melanie and I was wondering if anyone could help in finding timber supplies in Melbourne for crafting wooden jewellery. I'm looking for dry branches, about 3-4 cm in diameter, preferably sustainably grown (eg orchard) with nice ingrain. I've been using Apricot but unfortunately it seems to crack after getting wet. I'm not sealing it but sanding up to 1000 grain to get it shiny! Is there a supplier in Melbourne you may know of who sells branches for making walking sticks perhaps? Would anybody be able to point me in the right direction?
