Then a design is sketched ... and Royal assent is received. The entire cabinet will be veneered MDF, with the exception of the 100 mm base which will be timber. All done in camphor laurel. Tested the red glass. The IR signal for the remotes works through it just fine.

Every woman who has seen the door veneers has taken one look at them and said, "boobs". Except for Kate's teenage daughter, who said, "knockers!" This includes my wife, my sister, my niece Kate (for whom the unit is being made) and her daughter Zara. Don't let the girls tell you that it is we blokes who have knockers on the brain. Not true!
For the sides I am going to try to use the same veneers that were used on the top of Kate's sister's wedding pressie, a hall table, so they become sister units. http://ift.tt/1PjZeq5
