This box was made using the EZ Mitre technique that was shown in WOOD magazine in November 2011. HOME - theartofboxes.com In this instance I made some 4 mm veneer from Rosewood and Maple on the bandsaw and laminated the pieces to some 3mm tempered Masonite. The box measures 115mm x 115mm x 75 mm high. As you can see you get continuous grain on the adjoining edges. The box has a burnished oil finish and is lined with green pigskin suede. This technique allows thin wall sections to be made into a box.
